Yes, today I’m going to talk about the 10 new anime movies that you might not know about but definitely need to watch. Here’s what I know: many of you love watching anime and are always on the lookout for new ones. Since anime movies are usually short, around one and a half to two hours long, people enjoy watching something great in a short time. So, in today’s blog, I’ll be discussing 10 new anime movies. So, let’s not waste any more time and get started!
Doraemon the Movie: Nobita’s Earth Symphony
Let’s start with one of our childhood favorites, Doraemon. Yes, it’s the one and only Doraemon, because this year there’s a new Doraemon movie that I think you all should watch. There are a lot of people who might still watch Doraemon daily, and many, like me, might not have seen it in a while. I haven’t watched Doraemon in a long time, but if you miss your childhood favorite anime like I do, I’d recommend watching this new movie, Doraemon: Nobita’s Earth Symphony.
It’s 100% worth watching. The movie is about two hours long, and in it, we join Doraemon and his friends on a new adventure. Along the way, they connect with new characters through music and try to save the world from a dangerous crisis.
I’m not sure how many of you are going to watch it, but since Doraemon’s new movie is out, I thought I’d let you know. Those who are interested can check it out.
Alice to Therese no Maboroshi Koujou
Next up, we have another anime movie called Maboroshi aka Alice to Therese no Maboroshi Koujou. This is a great anime movie. I don’t know how many of you have watched it yet, but if you haven’t, I’d recommend giving it a try. The movie features a third-year student named Masamune, who lives in a town where a massive explosion occurs at a steel mill, causing all the exits to close.
Time suddenly stops, trapping everyone inside the town. As the story progresses, a fascinating mystery unfolds, but I won’t reveal it here, as I don’t want to spoil the movie for you. Since the movie is just about an hour and a half to two hours long, I’d recommend giving it a shot if you enjoy mysterious stories.
My Oni Girl
Let’s move on to the next anime movie, My Oni Girl. ‘Oni’ means demon, so the title translates to “My Demon Girl.” This is one of the most anticipated anime movies of the year. Let’s take a moment to talk about the story so you can understand a bit about this anime. It features a character who struggles a lot to make new friends at school. Even though he tries hard to make others happy, unfortunately, he doesn’t succeed in making new friends. But one day, his life takes an unexpected turn that changes everything.
He meets Tsumugi, a girl who is an Oni (demon). She has come to the human world to find her mother. And this is where the adventure begins. There’s a lot more that happens in this anime, but you’ll have to watch it to find out. I highly recommend checking out the trailer; you’re going to love it! The animation is top-notch.
Fureru
Now, moving on to the next anime movie, Fureru. This name is quite interesting, and the anime itself is going to be even more interesting. Have you seen the anime Anohana? If you have, then I should tell you that the same team worked on this movie, so you can imagine how great it’s going to be. After watching the trailer you can tell from the animation that it’s going to be amazing.
In this anime, we follow three characters as they carry a mysterious fluffy creature. The entire movie revolves around this creature, which might hold some kind of power. These three characters seem to be trying to hide it from the rest of the world. The official release is coming very soon, so once it’s out, you should definitely give it a try.
Look Back
The next anime movie is Look Back. Yes, I’m really excited about this one, and I think you should be too! This movie is written by none other than the author of Chainsaw Man. So, to all Chainsaw Man fans, I’d say you should definitely check this out.
In this movie, we follow a fourth-grader named Fujino, who draws four manga panels every day for her school’s magazine. The students at school love reading her manga and eagerly wait for the next day’s release. But one day, her teacher asks Fujino to give up one of her manga slots to another student named Kyomoto. Reluctantly, Fujino agrees. Later, when Kyomoto’s manga appears alongside Fujino’s, Kyomoto receives a lot of praise from the students. Everyone loves her art style because it’s so detailed.
Fujino starts feeling jealous, which is a very human reaction—after all, she had made room for Kyomoto, but now everyone prefers Kyomoto’s work. Fujino decides not to back down and starts spending all her time drawing manga, day and night. However, despite all her hard work, she feels like she’s falling behind.
Two years pass, and Fujino is now a sixth-grader. Surprisingly, we find out that she has stopped drawing manga. But why? You’ll have to watch the movie to find out.I highly recommend watching it—it holds a lot of emotional weight.
Spy × Family Code: White
Here’s the next anime movie: Spy × Family Code: White. I don’t think I need to say much about this one because many of you have already watched the Spy Family series. A lot of people have been waiting for this movie for a long time, and now it’s finally here.
The story revolves around an order from above to replace Loid in Operation Strix. To avoid being replaced, Loid decides to help Anya win a cooking competition at Eden Academy by preparing the principal’s favorite meal. To accomplish this, the Forger family decides to travel to the origin region of the meals, but upon arriving, they discover that an event is happening that threatens world peace. What happens next is something you’ll have to find out by watching the movie. Since Spy Family is already quite popular, I don’t need to explain much more about it.
Blue Lock: Episode Nagi
The next anime movie is Blue Lock: Episode Nagi. You’ve probably heard of it already. For those who have watched Blue Lock, this movie is for them. The movie mainly focuses on Nagi and Mikage and I know all the Blue Lock fans will definitely be watching this movie.
Haikyu!! The Dumpster Battle
Next is another sports anime, and it’s none other than Haikyuu. Haikyuu fans have been waiting for a long time, wondering when Haikyuu will return. Well, finally, it’s back with a new movie! Yes, I’m talking about Haikyu!! The Dumpster Battle.
I know Haikyuu fans have been waiting a long time for this return, but our wait is finally over because we’re going to enjoy this movie. However, if you want to fully enjoy the movie, you’ll need to watch the four previous seasons. The first three seasons have 25 episodes each, while the fourth season has 11 episodes, so you’ll need to watch around 86 episodes before the movie. If you start now, you’ll catch up in time to enjoy the movie.
Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc
Here comes the most anticipated movie of the year—Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc. This movie is going to cover the Bomb Girl Arc. For those who don’t know, we are going to be introduced to a new girl named Bomb Girl. From her name, you can already guess that her powers are related to bombs—she can use bombs and also defuse them. She has a mission, but if I reveal what it is, it’ll spoil the movie for you. There’s a great line in this movie: “Everyone wants Chainsaw Man’s heart, but no one wants Denji’s heart.” This movie is full of suspense and thrilling moments. It’s definitely one of the movies you must watch this year.
The Boy and the Heron
And here’s the next anime movie: The Boy and the Heron. This is an Oscar-winning movie for Best Animation this year. I’m sure most of you have heard about it—its trailer has 19 million views. The animation, story, characters—everything about this movie will keep you hooked. The movie’s runtime is two hours, so you’ll get to enjoy this masterpiece for two full hours. It’s better not to spoil yourself before watching, as we all know how exceptional Studio Ghibli’s work is.
