Having a Sharingan is the dream of every Naruto fan. I wish I had it too, just to put my crush in a genjutsu. Anyway, after seeing Kakashi’s Sharingan, everyone thinks, “I wish I had a Sharingan.”
But once we see the Rinnegan, our minds shift to, “I wish I had that.” Then, after seeing the Rinne Sharingan, our thoughts waver again, “I wish I had that too.”
Today, in this blog, I will clear everyone’s doubts about which are the ten most powerful dojutsu in the Naruto world. Only then will you be able to imagine having the most powerful ones.
Dojutsu are eye techniques that help the user achieve next-level feats in a fight. Whether it’s activating the cool Susanoo or using the never-ending fire Amaterasu, let’s move forward without any delay.
10. Byakugan: The All-Seeing Eye of the Hyuga Clan
Well, coming in at the tenth rank on this list is Byakugan, which is introduced first in naruto series, and this eye is only have the Hyuga clan and Otsutsuki clan . Which they are born with and possesses with this eye until someone steals it.
This eye gives everyone the power to see very deeply inside things. It can even detect the opponent’s chakra points, allowing the user to block the chakra points and defeat them. Neji is very skilled in this task. This eye is pure white, and whenever it is activated, all the veins around the eyes tense up, allowing the user to see forward and backward up to several meters in a 360-degree angle. For example, Neji initially could only see up to 50 meters, but after training and more usage, he could see up to 800 meters with this eye. You can imagine if he trained more, he could almost see up to a kilometer.
It is believed in the world that this eye gives a 360 vision, but we have seen in Naruto that even with a 360 vision, it cannot see the back of the neck, so we can say that it is not 360 but 359 degrees vision. This is not the only uses of byakugan . If someone uses it with sharingan , they can even read the opponent’s feelings and make the genjutsu so powerful that it becomes almost impossible to escape from it, as shown in the kaguyas byakugan..
9. Jougan: The Mysterious Power of the Otsutsukir
Well, now moving to the ninth dojutsu, Jougan, this eye itself is a mystery, so far we haven’t seen its potential, and maybe we will see its next level power in future as the boruto series progresses. This eye only possessed by Otsutsuki, and it is said that their god has the same eye , which we have not seen much power of yet, but we have seen mainly three powers.
First, like the Byakugan’s deep inside and if there is any disturbance in someone’s chakra or any input of negative energy it can easily detect this. Third, it can sense a portal before it opens, giving the user an upper hand in a fight, especially if it’s against an Otsutsuki.
For now, we can call it an upgraded version of the Byakugan. As the manga progress, we will learn more about its abilities. Since this eye is said to be with the god, we can understand how powerful it will be in the future. I believe that this eye will place in the top 3 in the near future.

8. Tenseigan: The Fusion of Byakugan and Otsutsuki Chakra
But now, at number eight, we have the Tenseigan. This eye is a combination of Byakugan and Otsutsuki clan’s chakra which appears with Toneri and which is a very powerful eye. With its help, the user gains the ability to fly and control Truth-Seeking Orbs, making the user so powerful that they can crash the moon onto Earth. It also gives the user a unique sage mode. Not much else has been detailed about it, which is why it ranks number eight on this list.
7. Sharingan: The Iconic Eye of the Uchiha Clan
Moving on to number seven, we have everyone’s favorite dojutsu, the Sharingan. Every Naruto fan dreams of having this eye at some point. It remains my dream too. Yes, I’m talking about the Sharingan, which is one of the most iconic elements in the entire Naruto franchise. Only true blood members of the Uchiha clan can possess this power. However, activating it is a challenge in itself, triggered only when the user goes through intense emotional stress or trauma. Once activated, the user can activate and deactivate it at will. But the Sharingan also has other forms, which we will discuss later in the blog.
The basic Sharingan has three levels: one tomoe, two tomoe, and three tomoe, which essentially indicate the power levels. The basic Sharingan has two powers: insight and hypnosis. Insight allows the user to track the opponent’s movements and jutsu, and even copy them. With hypnosis, the user can use powerful genjutsu to hypnotize the opponent, requiring eye contact. In an instant, they can play with the opponent’s consciousness, even viewing their memories. The more the user trains their Sharingan, the more powerful they become and the more powerful their techniques become. The most powerful Sharingan user was Shisui, but after his death, the title went to Itachi.
It’s not that no one else can use the Genjutsu. In fact, every Uchiha can use it because it is a basic power of the clan, but each user’s Sharingan powers are slightly different from each other, and in some cases, entirely unique. I’ll explain more about this in the blog.
6. Mangekyou Sharingan: The Trauma-Activated Powerhouse
Next at the sixth rank is the next form of the Sharingan, the Mangekyou Sharingan. Unlike the normal Sharingan, which could be activated by minor emotional disturbances, the Mangekyou Sharingan requires the user to go through significant trauma or mental and emotional disturbance. To explain the level of trauma, imagine having to kill someone dear to you or witnessing their death. This is why very few Uchiha can activate their Mangekyou Sharingan, like Madara, Shisui, itachi obito, Sasuke.
There is a myth that to activate it, you have to kill someone close to you. For example, Shisui was killed by Itachi, and after that, Itachi’s Mangekyou Sharingan was activated. Both were very close friends. Each Mangekyou Sharingan user has unique powers. For instance, Itachi could use Amaterasu, a powerful fire element that is almost impossible to stop. It burns anything in its path until the user decides to extinguish it. This power was unique to Itachi until Sasuke could also use it after transplanting Itachi’s eyes.
Additionally, with the Mangekyou Sharingan, Itachi could use Tsukuyomi, an advanced genjutsu that alters the opponent’s perception of time. If the opponent’s mind is weak, it can completely break them, as it took Kakashi several days to recover from it. Another unique ability is Kamui, used by Obito, which is an inter-space dimensional teleportation jutsu. Obito used it so efficiently that opponents couldn’t touch him. I found this power the most unique and cool in all of Naruto.
The Mangekyou Sharingan also has a common power that allows the user to activate an incomplete Susanoo, a chakra-constructed humanied form entity that is very powerful. Now, back to the topic. Though it has great power but it has a drawback that the Mangekyou Sharingan extensively can lead to blindness due to the strain it puts on the eyes and then it can not be cured . But not to worry This also has a way out.
5. Eternal Mangekyou Sharingan: The Limitless Evolution
That’s why we move to the fifth number, which is the Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan. This is the third form of the Sharingan and can be used because it not only allows the use of all powers but also enables the user to employ new techniques. One can activate true Susanoo, and I don’t need to explain how powerful a true Susanoo is; Madara has already demonstrated this.
Additionally, using it extensively does not cause any problems. The user can use it as much as they want without experiencing blindness. Moreover, the Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan utilizes a vast amount of chakra, allowing the user to activate Susanoo.
The Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan also uses less amount of chakra, ensuring the user’s stamina does not deplete quickly, and reserves are well-maintained. However, activating it is the biggest challenge because to do so, you must implant the Mangekyo Sharingan from your special bond or siblings into your own eye sockets. This will involve four Mangekyo Sharingan, and combining them will convert them into the Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan. While no specific reason is provided as to why this is necessary, it is what it is.
4. Isshiki’s Dojutsu: The Godlike Eye of Control
Next is the fourth ability, which doesn’t have a particular name but can be referred to as the “Isshiki’s Dojutsu.” This ability is possessed only by Isshiki. It essentially has four major powers: resizing, teleportation, dimension control, and life form control. Using this Dojutsu, anything can be resized to a very small level, down to molecular levels, and then brought back to its original size.
Additionally, its second power, teleportation, allows the user to teleport anything to any place, and with this eye, dimension control can be achieved, enabling the user to send opponents to a dimension where time is eternally frozen. Lastly, the power of life form control lets the user see the lifespan of any life form, when they will die, and so on.
This power made him a god in the Naruto world. He cornered the series’ powerful duo, Naruto and Sasuke, and after that you all know about the sacrifice Naruto had to make to try and stop him. But even then, he couldn’t stop Isshiki.
3. Rinnegan: The Sage’s Ultimate Eye
But now let’s move on to the third eye on this list, the Rinnegan. If we delve into Hinduism and Buddhism mythology, it means the cycle of reincarnation and similar concepts. In the Naruto world, it is believed that whenever disorder spreads, someone from heaven will come who will possess the Rinnegan. Now, this person can either become the god of destruction or the god of creation.
So far, in the entire series, only two people have activated their Rinnegan. The first was Madara, who activated it after obtaining some of Hashirama’s blood cells, and the second was Sasuke when he had the power of the Sage of Six Paths his rinnegan was activated. They used it very uniquely and differently. For example, Sasuke uses it more for teleportation, while Madara uses it in Limbo, where he uses his four clones from different dimensions, giving him a next-level advantage in fights.
But if you ask me, and perhaps you’ll agree, the most efficient and creative use of the Rinnegan was by Nagato, where he created six bodies with different abilities using the Rinnegan, controlling them through chakra rods. 2. Senrigan: The Eye of Omniscient Vision
If this eye belonged to someone who is physically very strong and has a sharp mind, it wouldn’t be wrong to place this eye at the first rank. However, since this eye is currently with Eida, who is not physically very strong, it still holds such a high level of destructive and crazy power that it ranks second on the list.
With Eida’s help, anyone can see someone’s past like a movie. Imagine opening Netflix without buffering, clicking on a movie, and it starts instantly. But there is a limit: Eida can only see the past up to when she was born, not before her birth. However, its real power is that, with the help of this eye, she can use omnipotent abilities to manipulate reality, which is a very destructive power.
So far, we have only seen this much of its power. Who knows, it might have even more destructive powers in the future. Before moving to the first rank, I want to honourable mention some iconic Dojutsu that are not on this list but are powerful, like Yome’s Dojutsu, Ketsuryugan, and the Sage Mode. Although sage mode is not a dojutsu, as this a eye technique, so I included it. Now, let’s move on to the first rank eye.

1. Rinne Sharingan: The Apex of Dojutsu
I don’t need to explain that this eye is full of power, and the entire Naruto series revolves around it. Because it is a mixed version of the Sharingan and the Rinnegan, where it appears with a total of nine Tomoe on the forehead. Its power helped Madara reflect it on the moon and activate infinite tsukuyomi, which is the most powerful genjutsu in the whole Naruto world.
It is almost impossible to escape from this genjutsu unless the user themselves removes it or you defeat them in a fight. Using this eye, Kaguya was able to travel through many dimensions effortlessly, making it the most powerful among all dojutsu. However, as the story of Boruto progresses, this list might change since we will see many more dojutsu with incredibly crazy and next-level power
