Introduction
I’ve noticed that many people believe Toji would easily defeat Mash in a fight. This opinion seems pretty widespread among fans, and to be honest, it surprises me. When you really break it down, there’s no real comparison between these two characters—Mash would win without a doubt. Yet, it seems like many of you still think Toji stands a better chance.
By the end of this blog, I aim to change your mind. I’ll even pit Mash against some of JJK’s heavy hitters like Gojo and Sukuna to show you who the real powerhouse is. And for those who stick around until the end, I’ll share my thoughts on Mash versus Saitama.
Comparison Context
So, there’s a lot to cover in this blog, but let’s start with a small spoiler warning. Now, I’m a staunch believer that we shouldn’t compare characters from different anime because their power levels vary greatly. Each anime has its own universe, and the power spectrum in one universe is very different compared to another. But I held that poll for Mash and Toji because there are many similarities between these two characters.
For example, Mash was born in a magical world but is a magic-less human who can’t use magic, while Toji, born into one of the top three Jujutsu families, has no cursed energy whatsoever due to the Heavenly Restriction. Now, don’t ask me what the Heavenly Restriction is—you should know that by now. But one thing these two characters have in abundance is immense physical strength.
The Physical Powerhouses: Mash and Toji
Through sheer strength, Mash became the first Divine Visionary of his universe without knowing any magic. Similarly, Toji slashed apart the special grade cursed spirit, Dagon, inside its own domain as if Dagon were a mere vegetable.
This is why many people have debated it—because think about it: if these two similar-seeming characters clashed, who would win?
“Toji Fushiguro… a man without cursed energy but with skills and physical prowess that can rival any sorcerer. He’s a monster in human form.”
– Satoru Gojo
The Case for Toji Fushiguro
Well, in my opinion, the answer is very straightforward. We simply need to look at what each character has achieved at their peak. For example, Toji, at his prime, almost killed a young Satoru Gojo and easily defeated Geto, who was a grade one sorcerer at the time (though he later became a special grade).
Not only that, but as I mentioned earlier in the blog, when reincarnated, Toji entered Dagon’s domain and tore him apart. Toji is next-level in terms of speed and strength, thanks to the Heavenly Restriction. So yes, we can say Toji is a pretty OP character.
The Case for Mash: Why He’s in a Different League
But if you look at Mash’s feats, you’ll realize that Toji doesn’t even come close. For example, while fighting Domina, Mash ran several times faster than the speed of sound. Then, during his fight with Doom, he increased his speed even further. Now, I don’t know how many times faster than sound it was, but it’s probably thousands of times, at least.
If this doesn’t convince you, let me tell you that Mash once ran from one side of the continent to the other in the blink of an eye, as if he teleported. Yes, it’s true that we don’t know how big the continents are in Mashle, but still—a continent is a continent, and it must be big. At this point, it wouldn’t be an exaggeration to say that Mash’s speed is closer to the speed of light than the speed of sound.
Examining Mash’s Feats: Speed and Strength Beyond Compare
Now that we’ve talked about speed, let’s discuss power. Mash once punched 65,000 times in one second with the help of Punch Squad—remember, one second! Then, while swimming, Mash literally pushed an entire continent, and when a tsunami came from the attack, he almost stopped the tsunami by holding a stick and waving it.
This guy has so much muscle power in his eyelids that when Doom, who can destroy the entire world, swung his sword with full force, Mash caught the sword between his eyelids. Do you understand what I’m saying? Then Doom’s father, Innocent Zero, who had control over time, was also defeated by Mash.
Comparing Power Levels: Mash vs. Toji
Forget all that—when Mash went to God, there was a door that no one had managed to move in thousands, millions, or even billions of years. Mash broke that door. So, do you understand what I’m trying to say? Mash’s power level isn’t even close to Toji’s; forget Toji—there’s no character in Jujutsu Kaisen who can match Mash’s power level.
Mash literally moves so fast that no character in JJK could even see his movement, let alone attack him. And if Mash landed one punch on any character from JJK, forget Toji—the entire Zenin family would be wiped out by that punch. Do you understand what I’m saying? Is this too much? No, it’s not too much—tell me, who in JJK can defeat Mash? Mahoraga? No, Mahoraga can’t win.
Mahoraga vs. Mash: Why the Adaptation Won’t Matter
Mahoraga’s USP is that he can adapt to your techniques and counter-attack accordingly, but Mash doesn’t have any techniques or magic—he’s just physically strong. So, the fight between Mash and Mahoraga would come down to raw strength, and when it comes to strength, Mash would make Mahoraga his pet in a second.
Another thing you’ll notice is that in JJK, whenever we see characters like Sukuna, Gojo, or Mahoraga, we’re shown that they have so much power that they could destroy an entire town or city—let’s even say they could destroy a country. That’s the power scale of jjk characters. But Mash could easily destroy the entire world. The guy who can move continents can do anything. The guy who can go up against God can do anything—there’s no comparison in power levels here.
Gojo and Sukuna vs. Mash: A Hypothetical Battle
Now, what I’m about to say might get me a lot of hate, but I’ll say it anyway because I’m not one to shy away from the truth. And the truth is that even if Gojo and Sukuna teamed up, Mash would easily defeat them both. First of all, Mash wouldn’t be affected at all by Gojo’s Blue, Red, or Purple techniques, and Sukuna’s slashes wouldn’t even scratch him—he’d easily endure them because, of course, his body is just that strong. Then, if they opened their domains, Mash is so powerful that he’d break the domain from the inside with a single punch—forget breaking it from the outside, he’d break it from the inside. And Sukuna’s domain just slashes, right?
Even though it’s an open domain, it can’t be broken, so what’s the use of those slashes? They wouldn’t do much to him. Now, you might say, “But Gojo has Infinity—how will Mash even touch him?” He won’t be able to touch him? Bro, Infinity has a limit too. We saw Sukuna slice through it. In Mashle, there was literally a guy who hurt himself, and that hurt would transfer to others—that was his magic power because the gods were granting him that power due to his desires.
Even with that, Mash beat him so badly that the gods ran out of power. So Gojo’s Infinity must have some limit too—Mash will beat him so much that Infinity will be no more. And these guys wouldn’t even see Mash—Gojo and Sukuna wouldn’t even be able to see him because he’s so fast.
Potential Weaknesses
Now, the only counter you can offer is that if somehow Gojo traps Mash inside his domain and uses Unlimited Void, flooding his brain with a massive amount of information, Mash might get stuck. Yes, I can agree with this point a little. The reason being, Mash’s mind is very weak, and this has been repeatedly shown in the series. But still, I personally believe that even this would only make Mash disoriented for a while—it wouldn’t really harm him. Because if Mash is normally stuck and standing, these guys can’t do anything to him—his body is just that strong. What kind of attack could hurt him?
Basically, I believe that there is no one in the JJK universe who is strong enough to injure Mash’s body. Literally, this guy defeated Innocent Zero, who could control time, and trust me, Innocent Zero could solo the entire JJK universe. And Mash defeated him. What kind of comparison are you making? How are you letting Toji win?
Cross-Universe Comparisons
Now look, as I said before, every anime universe has very different power levels, so this comparison isn’t fair—I admit that. Why isn’t it fair? Because, of course, the power levels in Mashle’s universe are much higher than in JJK. That’s why I say this comparison is wrong. But still, if you compare them, I have to tell you the truth. So next time anyone compares a character from the JJK universe to Mash, just be mature and say, “Bro, you shouldn’t compare characters from different anime because the power levels in each anime are different.”
Because if you don’t show that smartness and maturity, that person will start telling you about Mash’s feats, and bro, when they start telling you, your favorite JJK characters like Gojo and Sukuna will be nowhere to be found. Now, if even after all this explanation, you still don’t believe me, then maybe I won’t be able to convince you—maybe it’s beyond me. The comments are open, so feel free to share your opinion: “No, bro, Gojo can win, Sukuna can win, Mash can be defeated by Mahoraga, Rika can defeat him, Yuta can defeat him,” whatever you want, even Itadori can defeat him.
Write it all in the comments. And if you feel like cursing me out, go ahead and do that too because today I’ve touched on a topic that will hit many people’s nerves. Yes, in this blog, everything is welcome.
Mash vs. Saitama: A More Even Matchup
Now, if you really want to compare Mash to someone, we could compare him to Saitama. Now, in this case, I personally believe that Saitama would win. Why do I think so? I’ll explain. I’ll give just one example: Saitama farted so hard on Jupiter that he came back to Earth. Bro, the guy who can cross two or three planets with one fart—that’s Saitama. Moreover, we’ve seen Mash get injured multiple times.
Innocent Zero even took out his heart, and time travel pushed his hand back, but Saitama never gets injured. We’ve never seen him get injured—maybe we have, but tell me if you have. If he ever did get injured, the guy literally ends everything with one punch, and there’s even a level to that—whether it’s a serious punch or not.
Yes, this fight would be a tough one because, of course, Saitama doesn’t instantly use his full power, so Mash would give him some competition for a while; I mean, he’d do everything. But once Saitama shows his full power, Mash won’t be able to stand against him. And in the manga, Saitama even time-traveled once—if you remember, there was a whole cosmic god episode. So yes, Mash definitely won’t win against him. For sure.
“I believe in simple solutions—if something stands in my way, I just punch it harder.”
– Mash Burnedead
Conclusion: A Friendly Debate and an Open Invitation
By the way, do share your opinion on this in the comments section. That’s why I keep saying that different universes have very different power levels. Again, I’m emphasizing this point. Yes, just like the power levels in Demon Slayer are even lower than in JJK. For example, even if Yoriichi from Demon Slayer were to enter the JJK universe, he wouldn’t be able to defeat the main characters.
Now, some people might ask me if Saitama can defeat Gojo, and I’ll slap them. I mean, I won’t really slap them—I’m just joking. But don’t ask such questions—they’re not good questions. I know you really like Gojo—you buy his merch, wear his T-shirts, and go around saying “Gojo, Gojo.” You might even really like Sukuna. In fact, Sukuna is my favorite character too. But the truth is the truth—it won’t change just because a character is your favorite.
The characters from JJK can be defeated by Saitama with just a fart. He’d beat them with a serious fart. So yes, in this blog, I’ve settled a lot of debates, and I know there are even more powerful characters in anime, like Goku, and characters even stronger than Goku—I didn’t even know about all that until people started writing about it in a community post I once made. Yes, we won’t compare them out of emotion, but I will keep holding polls because they increase engagement with blogs like this and these types of polls.
So yes, that’s all for this little comparison blog today. I hope you enjoyed this different type of blog, something like a comparison. I had fun doing it. I know this blog will upset a lot of people because their Gojo lost, their Sukuna lost. I’m really sorry for that. But yes, if you were upset but still liked the blog, please give it a like. Please don’t dislike it—just like the blog and share it with your friends. I’ll see you guys in the next one.
