Introduction
Mahoraga and Rika, One is the most powerful Shikigami, and the other is a very powerful cursed spirit known as the Queen of Curses. So, if they fight, who will win? Find out in today’s blog, a versus blog, where it is happening: Mahoraga vs. Rika!
Right off the bat, let me tell you that Rika is a special grade cursed spirit, which is very powerful. Speaking of Mahoraga, he is a Shikigami, so he has no defined grade. Therefore, to properly judge them, we need to understand their powers. Rika has immeasurable cursed energy and is also very physically powerful. If Rika fully manifests in her top form, it would take Satoru Gojo to contain her
Rika: The Queen of Curses
In the Zero movie, Rika and Yuta fought Getou together, and we saw Rika’s terrifying power. She is able to counter even Getou’s maximum Uzumaki. In her normal form, Rika is still very overpowered because she can independently take on tasks and easily tear apart smaller cursed spirits. Then Yuta uses the copy cursed technique, and Rika helps him with that. We saw this power in the movie when she used the snake fangs megaphone.
Rika is so strong that in the manga, once she caught Yuji, he couldn’t even move. Now, I don’t need to tell you how strong Yuji is, right? Literally, in the first episode, we saw him throwing a shot put effortlessly. In the manga, we also saw Rika fighting with a character named Ryu, and the fight was quite balanced. Now, Ryu is obviously powerful, but not overly so. Therefore, we can estimate Rika’s power to some extent from that.
Mahoraga: The Unstoppable Shikigami
Now coming to Mahoraga, he is also very powerful Physically. In the manga, this guy has taken on Sukuna and Gojo. He even hit Sukuna, and Sukuna fell after breaking buildings. So, somewhere physically, he is more powerful than Rika. Additionally, Mahoraga can instantly heal from any damage he receives after an attack.
Mahoraga’s most OP ability was that is to adapt to any attack. To adapt, his head’s dharma chakra spins Now, the same did not do much damage. In the manga, Mahoraga adapted to Gojo’s Domain Expansion, Unlimited Void. In fact, he even adapted to Gojo’s Limitless technique, including Infinity, by spinning his Dharma wheel four times. By the way, Limitless and Infinity are different concepts, and I’ll explain this separately in the blog.
Now, speaking of Mahoraga’s achievements, in the past, Mahoraga managed to kill a Six Eyes user, which is a significant feat. No Ten Shadows user has ever been able to defeat Mahoraga, which is why no one has been able to control him until Sukuna, who recently defeated him. In fact, in the ongoing Sukuna vs. Gojo fight in the manga, Sukuna has been able to hold his ground for so long because Mahoraga is on his side. This means Mahoraga is also giving Gojo a tough time.
Considering the powers and achievements of both Mahoraga and Rika, as I’ve explained, Mahoraga seems to have the edge.
“Rika is a special grade for a reason. Her power is terrifyingly vast, able to counter even my maximum Uzumaki.”
– Suguru Geto
The Power of Positive Energy: Mahoraga’s Sword
But then Mahoraga has a power that Rika can’t stand against for even a minute, and that power is Mahoraga’s sword. While cursed energy and cursed spirits are depictions of negative energy, Mahoraga’s sword is infused with positive energy. This means Mahoraga’s positive energy-infused sword is like poison for cursed spirits, capable of instantly killing them. With a proper slash, Mahoraga can exorcise any cursed spirit.
Sukuna’s Revelation: Mahoraga’s True Power
In the manga, when Mahoraga was fighting with Sukuna, Sukuna himself said that if he weren’t in the human form of Itadori, meaning if he was in his cursed spirit form, Mahoraga would have exorcised him. So, Mahoraga could even defeat Sukuna. Do you understand? The King of Curses, Sukuna, is saying this about Mahoraga. Do you think Rika can stand against Mahoraga? No, in fact, if the fight drags on, Mahoraga will adapt to Rika’s attacks, making it increasingly difficult for Rika. I don’t think their fight would last long. Mahoraga’s adaptation will quickly overwhelm Rika. The bottom line is that Rika is very weak compared to Mahoraga in a head-on fight. Remember, the strength of any Shikigami also depends on its user.
This isn’t written anywhere, but I’m assuming based on when Megumi uses his Shikigami, they don’t seem as powerful as when Sukuna uses them. It might be that Sukuna uses them better. Still, I believe if I had Mahoraga, even a weak version could defeat Rika because the power difference is so significant.
What If Yuta Joins the Fight?
But then, there’s another “what if” situation: What if Yuta was fighting alongside Rika? This battle would become interesting because Yuta is very strong. Remember, everything would also depend on how Yuta fights, because Rika is still a spirit, and Mahoraga can kill her with a single strike from his sword.
If Rika joins Yuta, she enters her Awakened Form, which is extremely overpowered. However, no matter how overpowered she is, she is still a cursed spirit, and since she is a cursed spirit, Mahoraga can defeat her easily by his sword.
To defeat Mahoraga, Yuta would have to play the main role, and Rika would have to attack Mahoraga from a distance. Then Yuta would need to use an attack that can kill Mahoraga in one shot. Looking at it, Yuta’s copy technique would be quite useful because he could use different attacks, and Mahoraga would need some time to adapt to each new attack. If any of those attacks can one-shot Mahoraga, then Yuta’s chances of winning increase. Yuta can use cursed speech, summon cursed techniques, and has many other attacks like Clear Blue Sky.
So, it’s fair to say that when Yuta enters the battlefield, Mahoraga would definitely struggle in this fight, although the longer the fight goes on, the more advantage Mahoraga will gain.
But yes, if Yuta and Rika manage to quickly finish off Mahoraga with Yuta’s attacks, Mahoraga could be defeated. However, we can’t be certain, as everything depends on the situation and the fight.
What if Tamed Mahoraga joins the fight?
But then, there’s another situation to consider: What if a Tamed Mahoraga joins the fight? A Tamed Mahoraga refers to Mahoraga that has been defeated and controlled by its user. So far, the only users who have managed this feat are Sukuna and Gojo.If Sukuna joins the fight with Mahoraga, then the battle would be one-sided, because Sukuna would easily defeat Yuta and Mahoraga would kill Rika as well.
“If I were in my true cursed spirit form, Mahoraga would have exorcised me. Such is the power of that Shikigami.”
– Sukuna on Mahoraga
Conclusion: The Ultimate Winner
Mahoraga is on such a high level that Rika, in any form, can’t even come close to defeating him.
Therefore, I’m sorry, Rika fans, but Rika would lose this fight in any situation.
So, this was a small comparison blog where we pitted Rika against Mahoraga, and the result is clear. I hope you enjoyed this blog. If you liked it, please give it a thumbs up and share it with your friends
