Introduction
Welcome, everyone, to today’s blog—it’s going to be amazing! But before we dive in, let me give you a little context. Recently, Gege-san was asked 33 questions about Gojo, and Gege-san answered these questions in a very thoughtful way. We learned quite a lot about Satoru Gojo through these answers.
Needless to say, this blog is going to be a must-read for every Gojo fan and Gojo stan out there. So make sure to share it with everyone because it’s packed with great insights. Now, why wait any longer? Let’s get started!
Gojo’s Origins and Background
First question: Where is Gojo from?
Answer: Kyoto.
Second question: Is Gojo’s clan’s house also in Kyoto?
Answer: Yes.
Third question Although Gojo always speaks in standard Japanese, does his local dialect slip out during conversations?
Answer: No, not at all, because Gojo moved to Tokyo at a very young age, or you could say that Gojo started going on missions from a very young age. Since Gojo needed elite Jujutsu sorcerer training, he had to go, so his local dialect doesn’t show. He always speaks in standard Japanese.
Gojo’s Family
Next question: Did Gojo become a Jujutsu sorcerer because of family pressure, or did he choose it himself?
Answer: He chose it himself. Can anyone send Gojo anywhere against his will? The reason is that he comes from a very overbearing family, so he got fed up and decided to go on his own.
Next question: Are Gojo’s parents alive, and if so, are they also amazing high-ranking sorcerers like Gojo?
Answer: Yes, Gojo’s parents are alive, but they are not as strong as Gojo, either as sorcerers or in general. However, after giving birth to Gojo, their status in the clan increased. So, friends, do something that makes your parents’ names recognized for your deeds.
Since Gojo’s parents weren’t very strong when it came to Jujutsu, they couldn’t train Gojo. That’s why he was separated from his parents at a very young age for training.
Next question: Is Gojo an only child?
Answer: Yes, Gojo is the only child of his parents. However, Gojo has many distant relatives. Yuta is also somewhat related, though very distantly.
Gojo’s Early Life and Adventures
Next question: Now, in Chapter 96, Ogami and some other sorcerers saw Gojo walking in the town. Remember that cute little Gojo? So, what was Gojo doing in the middle of the city at that time?
Answer: Well, Gojo had run away from his home and was just wandering around, much like how we used to sneak out of the house and roam around as kids.
The next question is: When Gojo joined Jujutsu Tech, did he completely detach from the world? Did he forget everything happening in the world, what’s trending, or the latest fashion?
Answer: Gojo didn’t forget. How could our handsome Gojo forget? By the way, I should mention that the training at Jujutsu Tech was very strict, especially because Gojo belonged to the Big Three clans. But Gojo being Gojo, he often skipped classes and roamed around town. So, yes, he was well aware of all the latest happenings.
The next question is: Did Gojo go on missions before joining Jujutsu Tech, and did he have experience fighting curses?
Answer: Yes, Gojo was literally a prodigy, and he gained a lot of experience from a very young age. He was going on missions even before joining Jujutsu Tech. Speaking of Jujutsu Tech, every student there gets to customize their uniform, right?
So, the next question is: what were Gojo’s preferences for his uniform?
Answer: Well, Gojo’s uniform was quite simple, and he didn’t customize it much. But speaking of Geto’s uniform—oh boy, how did he even come up with that design? Geto was very particular about his style.
“The strong should not follow the weak. They should rule over them.”
– Suguru Geto
Gojo’s School Life and Personal Interests
Next question: In high school, Gojo had a gravure idol as his wallpaper. So, did he always have a gravure idol as his wallpaper?
Answer: Well, initially, yes, Gojo did have a gravure idol on his wallpaper. But Shoko found it very creepy, which is why Gojo removed it. And frankly speaking, it didn’t matter much to Gojo; he just had it for the sake of it. In case you’re wondering what a gravure idol is, let me explain: they are Japanese models often seen in bikinis or lingerie. So yes, that’s what gravure idols are.
The next question is: Did Gojo stay in a dorm during high school?
Answer: Yes, he did stay in a dorm. Then, during high school, Gojo’s trademark was his round sunglasses.
So, the next question is: did he wear those sunglasses during middle school as well?
To answer that, let me tell you, Gojo didn’t wear sunglasses for fashion but to limit the capabilities of his Six Eyes. You know, it shows too much information, so he wore sunglasses to limit that. So, naturally, he must have worn sunglasses during middle school too.
Gojo’s Relationships and Mentorship
The next question is: Did Gojo’s schoolmates or upperclassmen interact with him a lot?
Answer: Well, not really, because, first of all, Gojo belonged to one of the Top Three clans, and then he was the strongest. Of course, anyone would hesitate to talk to such a person, and it was the same with Gojo. No one really mingled with him much.
The next question is: Does Gojo have a mentor in Jujutsu?
Answer: Well, Gojo learned the basics of Jujutsu from his family, so there might have been a mentor there. But as far as his Jujutsu techniques are concerned, Gojo improved them himself by practicing repeatedly. So, at Jujutsu Tech, there wasn’t really anyone he could call a mentor.
Gojo’s Earnings and Assets
The next question, which is quite interesting, is how much Gojo charges for each mission and what his personal assets are.
Answer: Well, Gojo receives a monthly salary and doesn’t get paid separately for each mission. Mei Mei is an exception; she charges for every job and mission. Otherwise, all sorcerers have a fixed salary. As for the amount, no specific number is given, but since Gojo is a special-grade sorcerer, his salary is probably comparable to that of a minister. In short, he earns a good salary, much more than we can imagine. Moreover, since Satoru is literally the head of the Gojo family, he has a lot of assets under his name. In simple terms, Gojo is extremely wealthy.
The next question is whether Gojo ever thought of not becoming a Jujutsu sorcerer.
Answer: Probably not. Gojo never considered that path.
Gojo’s Emotions and Enjoyments
Next question: Has Gojo ever imagined himself with a non-Jujutsu sorcerer in a romantic way?
Answer: Again, no. Gojo mostly prefers to be taken care of by older women who are also Jujutsu sorcerers.
The next question is whether Gojo has any complexes.
Answer: He doesn’t, but he definitely feels sad that he couldn’t stop Geto from going down the wrong path.
The next question is whether Gojo gets emotional if a colleague or student dies and whether he gets angry.
Answer: Absolutely. When Itadori died, Gojo was really pissed off, so yes, he does get angry and emotional. Although Gojo understands that in the Jujutsu world, anyone could die at any time, except for him, of course, because he is the strongest. So yes, Gojo has made peace with the fact that the people around him could die, and in those cases, he has to move on quickly.
The next question is what Gojo enjoys doing the most.
Answer: It’s not entirely clear, but perhaps he enjoys meeting someone who has incredible talent for Jujutsu. Gojo literally loves encountering someone who is really strong and skilled in Jujutsu.
Gojo’s Abilities and Traits
The next question is whether Gojo speaks any language other than Japanese.
Answer: Yes, he speaks a bit of English too.
Now, the next question is quite unusual: what happens if Gojo drinks alcohol?
Answer: Well, Gojo gets drunk immediately, and his curse technique becomes unstable, so he avoids drinking.
Next question: Does Gojo have a license to drive a car or a bike?
Answer: Probably not. He doesn’t need to drive a car or a bike. The guy is rich, so he would likely hire a driver. Why would he drive when he can literally levitate and go anywhere? There’s no need for him to drive a car or bike.
Now, the next question is whether Gojo was born and raised in high society. Since he is considered the strongest by himself and others, has he never faced difficulties in his life? And if that’s the case, then another question arise: what could be Gojo’s weakness?
Answer: It’s true that Gojo considers himself the strongest, and people also see him as the strongest. After becoming strong, Gojo didn’t face many difficulties, apart from a few instances that you all know about. As for Gojo’s weakness, it’s his personality. But when asked about Gojo’s strength, even in that, Gege-sensei mentioned that his strength is also his personality. That was a pretty deep answer. I won’t elaborate much on this; you can figure it out yourselves. By the way, if you have any theories about this, write them in the comments. Do some work too, right?
Gojo’s Personal Preferences and Lifestyle
The next question is whether Gojo can cook.
Answer: Yes, he can, but he doesn’t.
By the way, did you know that Gojo’s shirt costs 2.5 lakh yen, which is about 2,000 dollars?
So, the question is: Does Gojo like expensive things, and what kinds of luxury items does he buy? What are his hobbies, and what’s his fashion sense, style, and the brands he wears?
Answer: Well, the answer might surprise you because Gojo isn’t the type of person who cares much about specific brands or fashion sense. However, Gojo is definitely the kind of person who would walk into an expensive store, buy things without looking at the price tags, and later realize how pricey they were. But then he’d just shrug it off, thinking, ‘Oh man, that was expensive,’ only for that thought to last a few seconds because he’d do the same thing again. Basically, the guy has money, so he buys whatever he likes without thinking too much about it.
Now, The next question is Gojo a mountain person or a beach person?
Answer: He is a beach person.
Next question: Is he a dog person or a cat person?
Answer: Well, it might seem like Gojo would like cats, but he actually prefers dogs.
Next question: Bread or rice?
Answer: Bread.
The next question is whether Gojo is left-handed, right-handed, or ambidextrous, meaning he can write or work with both hands.
Answer: Look, all sorcerers in Jujutsu Kaisen are right-handed, and everyone in JJK is right-handed. This is because if Gege-sensei made someone left-handed, he would have to pay extra attention while drawing. So, to avoid that hassle, everyone, including Gojo, is right-handed. However, Gege-sensei clarifies that sorcerers of Gojo’s level are just as proficient with their left hand as they are with their right hand in a fight. That’s why they’ve reached that level. If one hand were weaker than the other, it would create an imbalance in their fighting ability, right?
The next question is whether Gojo has become more dependable after Geto went down the wrong path, and if so, why?
Answer: Yes, Gojo has indeed become more dependable. After Geto strayed, Gojo developed a strong sense of responsibility. He believes it’s crucial to properly train and groom the next generation so they don’t end up like Geto. And I have to say, Gojo’s training is paying off. Just look at his students—they’re fighting Sukuna, fully aware that Sukuna is nearly unbeatable, yet they keep fighting, even if it means risking their lives. So yes, the training is definitely working.
Gojo’s Daily Routine
So, friends, those were the 33 questions. I hope you enjoyed them. But the blog isn’t over yet. Why? Because we also have Gojo’s daily routine, and I’d like to share that with you.
Gojo wakes up at 7:00 AM and by 7:30 AM, he’s at Jujutsu Tech. From 8:30 AM to 8:00 PM, he’s either teaching, going on missions, or just passing the time. Then, from 8:00 PM to 10:00 PM, he meets with the higher-ups of Jujutsu. After that, from 10:00 PM to 4:00 AM, Gojo completes his duties, prepares for upcoming classes, and handles any administrative work. Finally, at 4:00 AM, Gojo gets some sleep, waking up again at 7:00 AM. That’s just 3 hours of sleep! Due to his intense workload, Gojo doesn’t get much rest, and he usually doesn’t have any days off. He also travels a lot for work.
In addition to all this, Gojo individually trains each of his students, advises them, and keeps a close eye on their progress. He’s doing an amazing job—Gojo really is a great guy. And yes, Gojo doesn’t take on small missions. He only goes on missions where he feels his presence is absolutely necessary to avoid potential disasters. So that’s a day in the life of Gojo-sensei, and those were the 33 questions you might have wondered about at some point, with answers provided by Gege-sensei, which I’ve shared with you through this blog.
“Being strong is something you decide for yourself, and I’m the strongest.”
– Satoru Gojo
